Arsenal’s search for a striker has reportedly come down to a choice between Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyökeres.
The Gunners are in the market for a new goal machine, especially if they offload Eddie Nketiah, who is a serious target for Olympique Marseille.
Last term, despite not relying heavily on their natural goalscorers, Arsenal was one of the leading scorers in the Premier League.
However, they still fell short of their goal of winning the competition, and they now want to add more goals to their game to take that extra step towards becoming champions of England.
Gyökeres performed well at Sporting Club last term, while Osimhen has consistently been one of the best strikers since he moved to Napoli.
However, a report in Corriere dello Sport claims the Gunners have decided to focus on Gyökeres and have abandoned their pursuit of Osimhen.
The Nigerian is expected to leave Napoli and has not been playing in pre-season games with them, but Arsenal believes Gyökeres is the best fit for their squad.
They will focus their efforts on adding him to their team in the coming days.

Osimhen and Gyokeres are good strikers, and the Swede is probably the best player for us to sign now.

Am Nugerian and you’re wrong about Osimhen. He’s injury prone, he’s not that clinical, am not even sure that’s his real age. He had just 1 great season. He won’t carry us for more than 2 seasons.

First, we all watched Osimhen win the MVP at u17 World Cup, and he was the highest goal scorer . HE is currently Africa’s best player , Seria A best Player, No. 8 on the BAllon D Or list . He played in the Champions League, was the highest goal scorer while at Belguim, was the third highest goal scorer in the league while at Lille, and led his team to a silver medal for the AFCON with three goal contributions and a goal .

Of course I gree with those who support Osmehmen,First of all he has a characters of Didier Drogba and if you astriker who can give you styles goals is only Oshmen is right answer.We are mostly compite with mancity and mancity has hallaand and if you want to compite with city,baryen Barcelona and Real Madrid favourably you have to be astriker victor osimhen,although he is expensive compare to gyogeres but you have to put more and achieved more.

Gyokeres for me any day. He is not only a fantastic finisher, he provides his teammates with the assists. Check out his stats.
Moreover, Osimehn”s “super star” attitude is not what Arsenal need right now. Not another Aubameyang.Reply

I’m a Ugandan. Given the age bracket for most Arsenal’s players, Gyokeres would be the best option since all of them would feel at home. More so he’s not a man of I know more as compared to Oshimen. But you can confirm his actions in the pitch as he always finishes whatever he deserves to or the keepers need to control his shots which are always on targets.

Viktor Gyokeres is better fit for us basing on his style of play. I still doubt Osimhen because of his injury records. Italian Serie A players takes time adopting to the pace of EPL. Gyokeres can flourish easily in the EPL.

Whoever it is (and I wouldn’t be surprised if other names are in the hat apart from these two, Solanke has been mentioned recently), Arsenal needs to get a move on and start negotiations. We’ve all seen how long it’s taken with Calafiori (yes, with “unusual” factors there) and the on-going (never ending?) saga with Merino.
It appears from reports though that there are potential financial barriers to getting either of these players.
With Gyökeres, there’s more than just the big transfer fee – also huge wage demands and a big agent’s fee as well. This could be one reason why there’s (still) not a lot of interest in him.
Osimhen apparently has very big wage demands as well and PSG, who are also interested, would be better placed to meet those if it came to a battle with Arsenal for his signature. We’ll see.

Gyokeres is a great idea but remember he had only one season of miracles with sporting club from Coventry city in championship in the season of 2022/2023 where he was among the top scorer
So going for him is a good idea the guy has the speed and that shooting target,
So if possible we go for him and we can get him at around ,£64 to 70 million because sporting have already negotiated and agreed with Coventry about selling clause percentage in the contract they made.

This sounds like guesswork based on previous rumours, I doubt there are any new information behind this. But between the two, I prefer Gyökeres. He looks like a better fit for the system and probably more likely to accept a situation where he is not guaranteed to start every game. Just a hunch though.

Gyokores is better than Osimhen because of attitude wise. The ego displays my Osimhen is a clear handwriting for Arsenal not to entertain such deal, except he comes by loan.

Any of the two stars are better and fit well to the gunners, but in this regard I would prefer osimhen if Wenger manages the team, Arteta would not cup with osimhen’s attitude so let’s go for gyekores before the end of the window

If Feyenoord would accept swap deal plus cash for Nketiah I would take Santiago gimenez, he is not that overpriced and he has good stats also. Get a proper DM and we are good to go.

The dire need for a clinical striker for arsenal is not to increase goal tally end of season but to ‘unlock’ hard matches where we dominate the game and not score.Gyokeres will do it.

The good news is that, the season will soon kick off and the weekends will be fun and entertaining again. The bad news is, Arsenal is not going to sign any new striker

Viktor Gyokeres is a better option and we better pursue that deal now. We earlier had interest in Martin Zubimandi, and I read that he’s is moving to Lpool. Lets stop scratching our heads over this. Viktor is the best fit, and we cannot do without a clinical striker this season otherwise, Arteta should prepare to come and apologize to supporters end of the season.
