In my opinion this is actually a layered, very-well written movie that has people deflecting how relatable it is to how the literal actors look ridiculous. This is actually a surprisingly good movie lol and I am not a fan of romance, Kidman or Efron. Give it a chance. People have said Nicole & he have no chemistry, but I thought it worked as an unintentioned hook up that turned into more. Joey King is great as Zoe frustrated by her overbearing movie star boss & the realisation that her mom is more than just her mom & is entitled to more. Kathy Bates as usual shines as Nicole’s mother-in-law & keeps everyone grounded in the here & now. It’s deeper than the fluff it is, but there’s not enough time to explore all of that.
